- career choice to make effort to be at cutting edge and gpf is leading the trends for publishing practice

- follow a set schedule and 'get it done' in a timely manner with external group to encourage and support

- learn more about the process and types of sharing that's appropriate for a gpf (sharing, etc.)

- sense of closing the loop and completing a task with good practices

- We need to write articles for our jobs anyway, so doing the gpf helps me do it faster
