The timeline tracking is part of the task representation. Usually it is really important to know how much time is left until a task needs to be completed. With the structured properties attribute start date and target date it is easy to check if a task is maybe overdue. Furthermore over time the wiki contains many tasks and this attributes helps to focus on currently important tasks. These could be tasks which are currently not completed. Every task has a task owner who is responsible for it. In the future it’s imaginable that the wiki system based other attributes suggest a better matching owner.
